Athens of the North presents Jeanie Tracy's first and finest single "Making New Friends". Cut for Marvin HolmesOakland's BasedBrown Door Records around 1975. A Rare groove and Northern Soul Anthem of the highest order and rightly so. This record has rarely dipped below the $1000 mark as demand is so consistent. What has generally been overlook is that the flip "Trippin' On The Sounds" is a solid Deepfunk spin, I'm surprised I never heard anyone flip it over and hit the club, so please, sort it out. Not only is this a great record but Jeanie is a wonderful friendly warm woman who's passion for music is as strong today as it was when this was cut 40 years ago!

I listened to Greg Foat before and really liked his waterfall-like piano style in the Hampshire and Foat Albums. On this album you'll also get to hear nice lyrics and a mixture between folk and jazz as well as the can-like drumming from the Heliocentrics' drummer. Yeah! StrangeFlow

Rainy introspective contemplative moments, neon lights reflecting in puddles and cosmic excursions whirl around my mind when listening to this album. Great stuff! The gaye device

Greg Foat has those moments when heart, colour, emotion, silence and sound are just in complete alignment.
That kind of harmony always hits home for me as it just creates a super warm and loving vibration.
Antonio’s Theme for example creates such a moment for me.
Funny enough I was just listening to the Honey Bear when I stumbled over this record. Talking about synchronicity. Thank you. Vikrant Kumar Thomas Junk
